PLUGGING COMMENTERS IN CUTENEWS

1) Open up your cutenews folder and find the file "functions.inc.php" and at this at the end of the file right before " ?> " , & save it and upload it to your site using FTP

2) Now open up your shows.inc.php & find:
$output = str_replace("{title}", $news_arr[2], $template_full);
(you can find it by pressing CTRL-F on windows)

& add this code right below it:

3) in the same file find this:
$output = $template_active;

& add this code right below it:
if(CountComments($news_arr[0], $archive) > 0){ $output = str_replace('[commenters-header]', '', $output); $output = str_replace('[/commenters-header]', '', $output); $output = preg_replace("#\{commenters:(.*):(.*)\}#ie", "list_commenters('".$news_arr[0]."', '\\1', '\\2')", $output); } else $output = preg_replace("#\[commenters-header\](.*?)\[/commenters-header\]#i", "", $output);

3) now save your shows.inc.php file and upload it to your site

4) go to your cutenews > options > edit templates > active news & full story & add this code to both:
[commenters-header]{commenters:2: - }[/commenters-header]
( the number 2 represents the number of commenters you want in each row )

5) if you get an error message change:

$alle_comments = file("./data/comments.txt");

to

$alle_comments = file("cutenews/data/comments.txt");
